COURSE DESCRIPTION
BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership & Management is a comprehensive course designed to give existing or prospective business people insight and access to the necessary skills for providing senior or managerial responsibilities. It will build a sound theoretical knowledge base and managerial competency to provide strategic leadership. Competencies developed include manage organisational change, provide leadership across the organisation as well as develop and implement strategic plans for an organisation.
In order to gain entry into this course, the potential student must:
● Be 18 years of age or over
● Have satisfactorily completed Year 12 in the Australian High School (or equivalent), and
● Have an IELTS band score of minimum 5.5 or TOEFL 500 (or equivalent)
Applicants preferably have completed any Certificate BSB qualification or other relevant Certificate or demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments in a managerial or supervisory role.
The course is delivered over 52 weeks. It includes 40 weeks of tuition and 12 weeks of term breaks.
Delivery of this qualification combines trainer led theory classes, practical sessions involving small groups, individual and team activities, practical demonstrations and role plays. Computer based activities and projects will be undertaken using computer lab hardware and software
Each unit of competency involves assessment tasks conducted in a range of contexts. Such assessment tasks may include case studies, practical demonstrations, individual projects, report writing, portfolios of evidence, closed book examinations, role plays and oral presentations.
During this course, students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to oversee the work of others and provide strategic leadership in roles such as area, departmental or regional managers.
