COURSE DESCRIPTION
The ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Telecommunications Network Engineering) provides high level information and communications technology (ICT), process improvement and business skills and knowledge to enable an individual to be effective in senior ICT roles within organisations. The qualification builds on a base core of management competencies, with specialist and general elective choices to suit the development, monitoring and carrying out of technical support functions for telecommunications networks and for installing computer equipment, computer systems.
Every student will need to demonstrate:
o Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent
o Attaining IELTS 5.5 English language equivalence if a non-native English speaker
o Being aged over 18
o It is preferred that students have completed the ICT50120 Diploma of Information Technology (or equivalent).
On completion of the ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, students may pursue
o other Advanced Diplomas at WIN College or the following undergraduate programs at Wentworth Institute of Higher Education:
o Bachelor of Information Technology
o Graduate Certificate in Information Technology
o Graduate Diploma of Information Technology
o Master of Information Technology
The qualification builds on a base core of management competencies, with specialist and general elective choices to suit ICT and business needs, especially in the areas of knowledge management and IT systems development enabling such opportunities as:
