Course Description
This course aims to enable you to develop fluency, accuracy and confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English in everyday situations. It is designed so that you will have English for general communication in your job or social life, or so that you can improve your English language skills before moving on to academic English or vocational courses. It aims to develop your social and practical communication skills.
We offer 6 levels:
Beginner English
Elementary English
Pre-Intermediate English
Intermediate English
Upper Intermediate English
Advanced English
What will you learn in our General English course?
You will gain:
- Confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Accuracy in speaking and writing through extending their knowledge of English grammar and pronunciation;
- An understanding of Australian society and culture through activities in the classroom and off campus, such as excursions to places of interest.
- Conversational English based around a wide range of themes.
Entry requirements
You must be at least 18 years old.
You will be required to undergo a preliminary assessment on the first day of class to determine which course level you are best suited to. You will be assessed on an on-going basis in all four skills to determine your progress and areas for improvement.

Further Studies
When you complete our General English course you can enrol in our EAP or Intensive English and Proficiency Testing course or vocational courses at WIN College.
You will receive a Progress Report and a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the course.
