Course Description

Our Diploma of Paraplanning is designed to develop your foundational skills as a paraplanner to enable you to work as a team member in preparing Statements of Advice for clients. This will include a comprehensive range of financial planning services covering product knowledge for individual client’s complex issues and utilising innovative strategies within the financial plan.

 

Individuals in these roles require well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base of the financial planning sector and required regulatory frameworks. At this level individuals are expected to apply specialist skills and knowledge in a range of situations to deal with complex situations and issues. They work across a broad range of technical or management functions with accountability for personal outputs and for team outcomes.

Entry Requirements

Every student will need to demonstrate:

  • having IELTS 5.5 English language equivalence if a non-native English speaker
  • being aged over 18
  • having completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the FNS Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions) or
  • having two years equivalent full-time related workplace experience in an operational leadership role in an enterprise.

Further Studies

On completion of the FNS60920 Advanced Diploma of Paraplanning, students may choose to study the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management at WIN College or a Bachelor degree at Wentworth Institute of Higher Education or selected Bachelor courses at universities eg  Bachelor of Business with a major in finance or a Graduate Certificate in Finance.
